You can take your style cues from the savvy Alexa Chung or Kate Moss to help you dress for this fun occasion. Celebrities are a great source of inspiration to help you tap into your fashion sense. It’s also an amazing time to experiment with old and new clothes in your wardrobe.

Take for example an evening slip dress with an oversized denim Jacket or your autumn bomber jacket you couldn’t get enough of. Unless you’re at a festival in warmer locations, then you will need to wear an overcoat.

Pack: Protect yourself from unexpected showers with a packable parka jacket you can get from George. It’s so easy to fold up in your bag that practically weighs nothing. To make sure you have enough room to carry all your things, use a flat storage vacuum bag to compress bulky items in a fraction of the space. It’s also a great alternative to separate clean and wet clothes.

Festival Frills

festival skirts, shorts, tops

Fun is your priority so make sure you wear comfortable clothing to jump around in so you can enjoy yourself. The warm weather means you can wear a mini skirt or your favourite cut off denim shorts. It’s stress-free to style when you team it with a pretty frilly top or the cold shoulder style tops which are in the spotlight this summer. The fit is flattering and comfortable so you won’t feel restricted. It’s the perfect balance of sunshine and rain ready wear.

Pack: 2 to 3 casual or dressy tops in case you spill on it. You may want to take a warm jumper or a cardigan you can tie around your waist and slip it on when it gets cold. It’s a good solution if you’ve wandered off too far from your camping site.

Cool Accessories

You’ll need a cool pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun light. Boho and tribal prints are a festival favourite. Think lace, crochet, tassels and fringe. To achieve this look try a sequin rucksack to really make a statement.

Pack: Don’t forget to pack your sunscreen and apply generously throughout the day. Consider taking a light scarf for multipurpose use. You can drape it over your shoulder to keep sun burns cool or tie it around your head for a cool indie look.

Festival Footwear

Add a splash of colour in the field with printed wellington boots in case there is rain. It will definitely bring a dose of cheer and happiness to dull days spent wading through the puddle.

For blue skies and plenty of shine gladiator sandals are a perfect choice to go with your playsuit, skirt and dress. Ankle boots are a good look too as they are a bit more stylish if wellies don’t go with your outfit.

For grey but dry weather your beach friendly espadrilles or trainers are ideal. With all footwear options keep in mind they will get muddy somehow or another. So be prepared!

Pack: Make sure you have your base covered and pack 2 bras and 3 underwear and socks. This will ensure you feel clean and fresh for the following days.
