Looking to add a little Christmas cheer to your home but you are on a budget? Christmas is an expensive time of year, and so I try to buy home accessories that I can adapt to use all year round. With this in mind, I have picked up some bargains that I want to share with you today, from the George home range. They are set to transform my home this Christmas, and all costing under £20.

First up are these Eclipse Bulb String LED Lights.

Bang on trend, and so effective to add to your décor no matter what your style. I would use them bunched up together, using a picture hook, or use a temporary decorating clip. These are in my hallway, which was in desperate need of a little festive sparkle. You could also hang them on a mantle place, and I think they would look really cool. They are made of plastic, so won’t break easily, and are also battery operated, so no need to try and find an empty socket either.

How about something completely different with this Rams Head ornament from George Home? Try white LED string lights wrapped around them. Simple, but effective!

I love the idea of adding curiosities, things to spark conversations, and this I think is perfect for that, and really makes a bold impression on a room. Once the festivities are over, just remove the lights.

It is also very easy to add a touch of Christmas to Children’s bedrooms.

First up a teenager’s room. This Chalk Globe would be a great idea, as a gift for children that are too old for an advent calendar, but still want to get caught up in the excitement of the count down until the big day.

It comes with a pouch with chalk inside, so you are all set. I’ve also included this hanging sign which has the words ‘The darkest nights produce the brightest stars’ which I think would make a great pairing.

For the younger children:

This George Home Christmas Cheer Village duvet cover and pillowcase set is reversible, so can be used all year round. It adds a pop of colour to a bedroom, as does the matching little cushion which keeps with the retro feel. How about these peg LED string lights, again £5, perfect for your little Miss or Mr to display their favourite Christmas cards from school on.

So that’s four areas of my home transformed all for £20 or less! I love the results, and have my eye on adding some simple Christmas touches to my kitchen next!
