At George we love unique, individual style. And what better way to stand out from the crowd than with fashion you can’t get anywhere else?
That’s why we design everything in-house including our hit jeans. Denim is firmly on the agenda again as we move into AW17 and we’re happy to say it’s never been bigger, with embroidered, embellished, ripped, cropped and washed jeans joining the classic skinnies and jeggings. But where to start?
If you need a refresher on the classics, check out our denim guide. But for the skinny (excuse us) on all the latest new styles, keep reading below. It’s the perfect chance to swap plain old blue for something a little more exciting.
With a return to maximalism on the catwalks, embroidery gave denim the edge it needed. Think of pretty, luxurious floral embellishment giving a 70s boho vibe to the usual skinnies or mini skirts. Don’t feel you have to style them retro – these look great with a slogan tee.
Distressed was a big story over the summer and it’s only going to get bigger over the next few months. Part of the 90s return, ripped, trashed and frayed details as well as frayed hems were huge on the catwalk and our design team worked them into our edit, too. Try these with a tucked-in T-shirt and ankle boots.
Ignore the myths – cropped jeans can actually make your legs look longer, fact! Perfect for showing off your latest footwear purchase, they add a crisp, smart finish to your look so work well with blazers and heels. Try slightly wider-leg styles for a truly on-trend look.
